I haven't seen anyone mention Audioslave - Cochise. Some sort of terrible oversight surely?

Great choice Rusty. Bowie was inspired by Neu for Heroes, lots of influence on punk too.

Would've said Welcome to the Jungle, but seeing as it's had so many mentions already I'll throw in this one.

A 2 minute burst of anger to prepare you for the rest of the album.

Can't get past the opening track on Beggar's Banquet. (No decent version on youtube)

One for us middle aged soft rockers:

From Dire Straights 1980 album Making Movies, first track, Tunnel Of Love.

Top tune!

Agree with most of the above especially Prodigy but might add Klf "what time is love".
But the mad craziness of The Pogues Wild Cats of Kilkenny does it for me.

Invaders---Iron Maiden

In no way ever. A great album in parts but the opening track is bollocksly bad. And I am a lifelong Maiden fan. And let's be honest, although their good stuff is great, the rest is piss poor.
