Blade. Time lapse, Pump Panel remix of Confusion by New Order, 'Bloodbath', what more could you want?

Opening scene in Pale Rider is good for the magnificent scenery on a big screen it is truly awe inspiring.
Start of The Mission is similarly good.

Good shout with Once Upon a Time in the West, awesome opening.

Betty Blue. When i was 14 i was reading the tv listings saying this was on C4 about 2 am with the key words 'erotic drama' that would have me staying up late to record it on vhs. I eventually wore out that tape rewatching the first few minutes over and over again ๐Ÿ˜€

Love the start of Apocalypse Now too. The End by the Doors, the napalming of the tree line, the chopper turning into the fan, captain willard in his room, the fan turning into a chopper again..."Saigon... shit; I'm still only in Saigon...."

Consequences of love (Le conseguenze dell'amore). Sorry can't find a clip. Great film.

The Player, if only for the sheer length of the one continuous shot which must have taken weeks to coordinate.Check it out

The start of the player is a homage to the start of 'touch of evil' . The joke is is that the characters are talking about the long tracking shot in touch of evil, whilst being in one at the same time

Lost in Translation, from opening scene to end. Just a sublime riot.

Slightly O/T for sheer-gobsmacked fun:

south park the movie: terrance and phillip

Lost in Translation. If you're a chap, or the other sort of lady. I bought the DVD.

The whole film is an exercise in tension.
