Just wondered if there were any recommendations, any gimmicks?
Won't be a lot of money but whilst scratting around in the daughters bedroom the mrs has come across £125 which really could do with putting away somewhere!!
Baby Jaz has his account with the Halifax, in a Kids Regular Saver account which pays 6% for the first year. You can pay a max of £100 a month in to it, can only be paid in via standing order though which is annoying
erm, and how do you just "come across" £125? How old is she? i would be wondering where she got it?
Another vote for the Halifax one.
organic355 - you'd be amazed how much money builds up as wee presents from relatives
She's 10 and deals Pokemon at school 😀
In all honesty shes ridiculously tight, and won't spend any of "her" money, it's basically little bits of pocket/birthday money she's stashed in various money boxes, over the last few years!
Just thought it would make more sense for her to have a proper account!
Is this for future saving or just spending now?
Child Trust Fund is a good bet for the former as the government will deposit another £250 when you set it up.
