Grandmaster Flash, White Lines
John Kelly mix of The Stone Roses' - Fool's Gold
or Nush - Nush
To be honest, I'm not really into the whole dance/nightclub scene music. However, years ago, some mates and I wandered into the Ocean Rooms in Brighton (I worked with them and they all shared a house in Brighton), high on MDMA, and they were playing a break-beat remix of a Public Enemy song (a group I love) and it left a lasting memory. An amazing version of the track.
Does that fulfill the brief?
Felix - don't you want my love?
Michael Jackson - Wanna be starting domething
Insomnia. Awesome.
And Binners was behind the bar 😯

Greece 2000 - Three Drives on a vinyl
Charlatans - the only one I know
Swaying around with a can of Red Stripe, desperately trying NOT to inhale any smoke from a Marlboro red and generally being a bit of a tit. Happy days.
Cafe del Mar - Energy 52.

THE best? 😕
Only one? 😕 😕 😕
That's 100 times worse than asking which bike is best, or if you had 5000 children which one is your favourite, to me...
Argh!!! There are soooooo sooooo many greats.
To start... The Queen of Disco, Donna Summer's I Feel Love, will go down in history as rewriting the rule books and introducing electronica to the masses.
Michael Jackson changed the game in a way never seen before, or since, with Thriller.
Sugar Hill Gang's Rapper's Delight brought Hip Hop to the masses, even if the masses was only the US for many years to come.
Timeless by Goldie brought what was Jungle, and turned into D&B primarily because of his influence, to the masses. Roni Size then catapulted the genre forward again in 97 winning the Mercury Music Prize with Brown Paper Bag.
Derrick May released Strings of Life on the world in 1987, and Techno was effectively born.
Or do you mean the track(s) that has the most meaning to us personally as individuals?
Wallop - if you're talking the kid paul mix its def up there 8)
Fascinating rhythm
Hardfloor Acperience
Mills, Beltram, UR, Beyer, Hawtin, etc all have classic tracks but...
Faithless - Insomnia
Cream - Godskitchen edit
Ebeneezer Goode - Shamen
Greece2000 - Dave Pearce remix
Hot Chip - Over and Over
Matt Darey - Binary Finary
Rank 1 - Airwave
And for a different approach:

For me, Farley Jackmaster Funk - Love Can't Turn Around or The Blow Monkeys - La Passionara
And for any dance floor lovers who live in or visit Leeds, get yourself to Smokestacks on Lower Briggate. It's an irrisistable mix of ska, funk, soul, hip hop, etc, my calves hurt just thinking about it 🙂

Donna Summer I Feel Love
Faithless Insomnia
