As I always knew, my hometown of Bournemouth has the best beach in the UK. Harry Ramsdens, a surf reef that doesn't work, a grotty pier where I got headbutted as an innocent 15 year old and the shittest nightclub on the planet, cannot take away from the FACT that the sand is the best and Leilani Dowding and her sister sunbathed there.

I live near Bournemouth and agree. Keep all the tests in one place, in a ideal world I would make somewhere in Essex no 1. To reduce the traffic.
Bournemouth is the right location for all beach holidays, just get the council to remove all the double yellow lines, parking ticket machines and make Sandbanks into a two way road with free parking.

About 4-5 years ago, I had a first date on Bournemouth beach.. she brought quiche, strawberries and fresh orange juice.

I agree. Bournemouth is far better than Northumberland. Everybody go to Bournemouth. Northumberland is rubbish. Nobody should come here. Erm, I mean *there*.
And Brighton beach made the list in 4th place in the UK. Is this the same Brighton beach that I've seen – you know, the one that is a big mound of pebbles? Or is there another, nice, Brighton beach which is hidden from general view?

It's tripadvisor, their rankings for beaches are likely to be as ****ed as their rankings for everything else.

thinking about it, I've never done anything but park and surf at polzy. its only 40 mins from home so I dont tend to hang around.

Lovely when it's warm and nice weather, so no wonder you haven't been tempted. That's a week in a year probability.
Plus if you're local you must be spoilt for choice anyway.

Nah, Blackpool is far better than Brighton - a much classier town; built for the discerning traveller, with sophistication in abundance. It is only bettered by S****horpe. Or Redcar (don't forget to try a Lemon Top from Pacittos).
