Any use? If so, does anyone have any recommendations other than the (expensive) Weber one?

if you mean the things like wire book covers with long handles yes they are ace for fish and anything else,Available from supermarkets and diy stores for about a fiver. just check there is a latch or collar to hold them together when you turn.
