not really 80's. they've been on trend in the 50's, 60's, 80's and 00's
MountainMutant, I left my original Black/Grey Frogskins on a blonde in France. Regretted it ever since. Not the blonde, that is, just the sunnies.

Mine had the clear frames with purple lenses - I remember thinking they were the best thing ever, but in hindsight, they were probably sh*te.
