At 9.30 this morning we've all been summoned into a big meeting to hear about the restructuring and redundancies ๐Ÿ™
I don't think its going to be good news...

Been in a few of those myself, it is exciting in all the wrong ways.

Hope it all goes well, but remember to keep positive and looking ahead. I know it sounds ****y, but it helps me keep panic at bay.

Let us know how it goes.

It's when you don't get invited you need to get worried

Not in my experience.

Good luck lexiekay, you might be waiting a long time to find out what will happen to your post - try to use that time constructively rather than worrying too much.

Polish up yr CV, see what otehr jobs are about.

It's ended up a very positive step for me both times I've been made redundant.

A quote that helped me through a similar situation:

Turbulence is life force. It is opportunity. Let's love turbulence and use it for change.

Good Luck

I got the "can we have a chat" speak from the MD 3 weeks ago. Next week is my last day, after 11 years at the company.

Since then i've ridden loads and generally been told by everyone that they've never seen me happier.

Fingers crossed and all!

If its done 'well' those going will already have been told before the meeting. That's how it worked at my last place, first batch I was told about the meeting, second batch, on my way home before it started.

Hope it's all ok.

Thanks guys.
Not a nice meeting at all. Some teams were simply told they'd cease to exist. Looks (for the moment) like I might be ok but the team I manage will go from 10 full time people to 6, so not looking forward to sorting all that out.
In the meantime I've found a nice job in Oxford to apply for should it all go pear-shaped. Which obviously has the added benefit of not being in Swindon!
Off to the pub now...
