I'm enjoying 'I, Partridge' but will probably finish it on the outward train journey of a trip to Paris I'm about to make. Any recommendations for something similar? Sampled Rob Brydon's but didn't grab me, maybe Stephen Fry? I want something that will raise a smile, smirk or chortle!

Cheers.

oh yes +1 to that ^^^
Not funny but I thoroughly enjoyed le Carré's "The Complete smiley" and shhh Harry Potter, currently working my way through the top 100 sci-fi books.

EDIT:
Richard Matheson's "I am legend" is a top listen too.

As for humor, maybe the Red Dwarf or Terry Pratchett (in my pile of stuff ready to go).
PG Wodehouse Jeeves and Wooster was ok but a bit repetitious

Yeah looked at Bryson's short history. That's probably next now I've got hitchhiker's.

The Long way round by Matt Long.
He's a NY fireman that was crushed by a bus while cycling to work one morning. This is his story of the fight to regain his fitness and run the Boston Marathon. A good old inspirational and heart warming story, I listened to the last 4 hours of it on my ipod while running the Edinburgh Marathon last year. 😀
EDIT: Sorry, just noticed your looking for humour....... 😆
