as above really, are they a good buy? / which ones do you use? / where did you get yours from?

I've got one that's still going strong after 8 years. Pretty good but then i got it for free. Was bivvy'ing at easter in hard frost and was pretty comfortable.

They do a good job, I used to use mine camping from the car, far too heavy to lug about though.

If you mean the new jungle bags then they're very nice and compact for summer bivvying/camping

If you mean the behemoth bouncing bomb it will take up 99% of your rucksack but you'll never get cold

yeah ive been looking at the '58 pattern' ones - weight 4kg! think i'll skip that one then!

maybe snugpak is the answer?

do what most people who have to carry them do.

leave them in the kit locker, they are shockers

i use mine with a bivvy bag if not camping out the back of the car. Did use it for several 3 or 4 dayers with tent was fine but did leave the little room in the rucksack.
