Mo Mowlam.

Actually, if I'm honest I quite like Portillo since he left government.

Senator Jim Webb always seems fairly righteous.

British ones only please. And real ones, not fictitious characters. Ton, you're excluded on the grounds of being a trouble-making troll. Sorry, but that's how it is I'm afraid.

I will like Maggie once she's provided us with a dancefloor... 8)

Derek Hatton circa 1980's, the man is a legend! Well Maybe not quite...

Tony Benn, Red Ken, Arthur Scargill.

The socialist roots run deep up here.

I have a good deal of respect for Obama for what he represents, though as a US leader he is always gonna be too far to the right for me.

Okay <dons Nomex suit>

In terms of respect for the fact that they stood for what they stood for, whether or not I agree with what that was, and could not be accused of being two-faced (a respect, I'll have you know, that was also expressed by a Mr Tony Benn, who definitely stood for something different, at an audience with him what I attended in 'Nam town hall)

I like my local MP Jenny Chapman, despite not voting for her. She's local, approachable, has continued regular door-knocking after the election, and communicates with constituents via Twitter and Facebook. She even came to the pub with a bunch of us last Friday. And she rides a bike.

She's pretty much the opposite of her predecessor, Alan Milburn.

Of the recent lot not many- am I allowed dead ones?
Robin Cook
John Smith
Mowlam is a good call

Malcolm Chisholm

Nicola Sturgeon

Ann Widdicombe as she is probably the least corrupt recent MP even if a God botherer and a tory Should have been the speaker to clean up parliament.

I don't live in london but can I like Boris?
I have no idea if he's any good or not he's just such a (seemingly harmless) bafoon I can't help but like him.
Although I don't agree with all of his political ideals, I quite admire Tony Benn also.

stoner clarke is ok but his BAT association tarnishes him IMHO
Dennis Skinner mainly for his Dr Owen line
Dave davies - is that right david davies that Tory one seems to have principles that outrank his political ambition which is rare these days
All Lib Dems when they say something boy do they mean it .. I respect that
Lembit Opik [spell] mainly becuase he went on about the dangers of a large object from space striking us
Heseltine - had principles and honour
Mo Mowlam
Liked Prescott in the way Tories Like Boris [ i assume] bit inept , colourful character , awful way with words good right hook [ I assume the Boris comparison breaks down there]

It's funny how Anthony Wedgwood Benn has gone from initially being derided as a champagne socialist, to being vilified as a communists by the press (cartoonists invariably portrayed him in Chairman Mao suits) to much loved political icon - even respected by Tories.

[img] [/img]

And yet all he's ever done is become more left-wing.

It ain't going to be popular but I happen to think he is a top man with more balls than the entire cabinet put together. Can be a bit of a twunt at times though, can't we all?

My MP Ivan Lewis seems like a decent sort of bloke and he seems to get stuck in to local issues.

The MP from just up the road was Prisoner Chaytor D. I'm not a big fan of him.
