Got my son a Touch for Christmas, not seeing him till the 27th, he is pestering me to give him his present early so that he can get the free apps. I've told him no as I assume you can download them to your I tunes account then sync with his touch when he gets it, can anyone confirm?

Either that or just give him the cash to get the coupla downloads he'll miss, he can't complain at all then!
you need to put the app on the device before the 26th, this is because all of the downloads are done through the device while it is plugged in to the computer, rather than using conventional download means on itunes.
So i feel, dad may need to swallow his pride.\

the device doesn't have to be plugged into the computer to download the 12 days items. It has WiFi connectivity. But you do need to run the 12 days app on the device to get the downloads. One day's giveaway is unlikely to be compelling. And all the apps and downloads are 'signed' so you need to authorise the device to use apps your Apple ID is associated with.
hel only miss the first app anyway... it doesnt start until the 26th!
