it's deffinately under the cushions of your sofa, though depending on timescales, it may have ventured further south into the warm climate of the sofa framework.

I had one that managed to sneak it's way into a cushion, once. Through a gap of about 5cm, that was not quite zipped up, on the cushion cover.
Searched for ages. 'Phoned the ****ing thing, could hear, it, but not find it. Started to really freak me out.
Then, me mate moved the cushion, and I heard the sound move too.
How it managed to worm it's way in there, I will never know.
Ah, found at last. Was lying on the road by the kerb outside my house all night! Glad it didn't rain.
