well it's back, 're-imagined' on the SciFi channel coming soon. Couple of peeps from "Firefly" in it.

If it's anywhere near as good as the "re-imagined" Battlestar Galactica then it should be worth watching

Remember it?!? I watched it at a friend's house, saw the alien rip his skin off to reveal his real face, then had to ride home in the dark. If I could reach speeds like those now, I would be laughing.

Dammit. You've mentioned Firefly. I'll have to watch a few episodes before bedtime now.

V was great, I think the original had 'Freddy' (Robert Englund) in it. Great 80's american cheese!!

It was on at the same time as the olympics. I recall people saying (in a german accent) "V have ways of making you miss the olympics".
I loved it but i was quite young but i remember them eating mice and pulling their faces off etc. It was great. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now I have your attention John, did you know that the 1in12 club have a full archive of all their gigs going back to the beginning?

APRIL 1984
4th - Chinese Gangster Element / Gross National Product
8th - Party Day / The Three Johns / The She-Hee's / Dirk Spig / Pariah / Wild Willi Beckett / Reqium / Morbid Humour / Screaming Jellyfish !!!3RD ANNIVERSARY GIG!!!
11th - The Crypt / Cynical Few
18th - Chronic / Legion
25th - Grrr / The Mighty Clifton Brothers

Pariah were my best mates band from the 6th form at Beckfoot Grammar School, Bingley. Also, SDC did a gig there in their early days. I'm sure your old band feature there somewhere?.

I played there at least twice with SDA 86-90 and once with The Rejuvenation 84ish.

When's Chocky coming back? And Zigzag (on bbc2 at 3 in the morning). They were proper sci-fi shows.

done my research now. I played at the 1in12 4 times in the 80s:

16/10/84 Mass Of Black / The Rejuvenation
07/08/86 Beat Of The Beast / The Jackals*
12/07/88 Heart Of Darkness / Seven Dead Americans
25/10/88 Seven Dead Americans / Death By Milkfloat

* I'd forgotten about that one - The Jackals didn't last long

Remember being horrified watching a woman swallowing a rat whole - throat bulging etc. Imagination ran riot for a few weeks that summer...

V was superb sci fi. the 80's was a great era for sci fi. The remake will be awful. some things are just best left alone
