Anyone re-gassed and office chair?

My Ikea MARKUS chair is slowly sinking to the floor and although it has a 5 or 10 year warranty this requires the original receipt which is long gone.

Do I just buy a replacement gas strut or can I somehow repair the existing one?

I would ask Ikea but at the moment their customer service is somewhat lacking.

Also, are they interchangeable or does it have to be an Ikea specific one?
