More specifically the French or italian coast? Due the wonderful FIA I have to take 2 weeks holiday the first 2 weeks of August when prices are at a premium. Every where I have searched appears to be booked so was wondering whether anyone owns a holiday home on the continent or knows of someone who does who'd be happy to rent me and the wife and a 4 year old!?

Any suggestions welcome

Quite late to be looking at renting a holiday home. Why not tent it, the campsites seem to have availability?

Yeah thought about they but they're as costly as an apartment, I'll keep looking

I'm possibly in a similar boat - looking for a place, but I've got me, wife and a 3 year old and probably 2 week in July...

Renting a house by the coast will be very pricy. Try looking for somewhere in the Alps and you'll probably have more luck on STW.

I have an empty house in Italy near to San Remo in the mountains. Also we have a B&B that's got a couple of family rooms. We are based near to San Remo and there is a brilliant safe family beach just 25km down the valley at Arma di Taggia. Serviced by Nice airport (85 mins door to door). If you are interested I can send more details.

I might need someone to look after my house, it' not a holiday home and it' in the Basque country, but it would be free of charge, you'd just need to feed the cat.

We have a place in The Gambia, but its rainy season then so unless you like living in a sauna probably not an option.
(Was £20k so we're not toffs by any means). 🙂
