This course with Evo 2 looks really good - anyone want to do it with me? Here are the details (price is the best I've found so far but I need a partner):

* * *

Programme (type):

D1 : review snow & ice climbing techniques
D2 : Rock climbing in the Aiguilles Rouges
D3 : Rochefort ridge, night in the Torino refuge
D4 : Gervasuti Couloir on the Tour Ronde, night in the Cosmiques refuge
D5 : Midi-plan and return to Chamonix

Technical level: Intermediate, some experience rock climbing and using crampons.

Group size: min. 2 / max. 4 peoples per high mountain guide

Duration : 5 days (Number of nights in refuge: 2-3)

Price: 845 Euros (safety equipment provided, but extra expenses in extra ex: lift passes, huts depending on program).

TBH you can learn a lot of what is covered in these courses in the UK for a fraction of the cost. If you ask around it will cost you nothing more than the fuel to get to scotland and a couple of beers ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ah issue is I'm in that part of the world anyway

I love Scotland and the Lakes but it's all about the Alps for me this particular summer

I take it you climb already? if so, I wouldn't part with any money for a guide. I'd post a partner wanted ad on ukclimbing and just mention your experience.

hmm I live out here and would be interested in doing some ice climbing but not with that price tag - I could have a full setup for that cost ๐Ÿ™

hope you have a fun holiday none the less and if your passing morzine and need a belayer just ask.

Thanks all - I'll post again nearer the time.

I'm keen on the course because of the instructional aspect. I'm doing a couple of others in the preceding weeks.
