[#12731528]

So my trusty Hyundai i40 estate has blown an oil seal where it goes through the rocker cover.
Mechanic has stripped it but found the injector hold down bolt finger tight......
On removing the injector it's been rattling round and has ovalled the hole in the rocker cover - bugger.

I need a new rocker cover but having trouble sourcing one.
Dealer is telling me 5-6 weeks, but hoping there's an alternative to this!

Car is a 2014 i40 Bluedrive CDRI 1.7 (115bhp version).

Can any of the Singletrack motor bods help me please?

Used off ebay, or fill in one of the 'scrap yard' search forms which emails round all the 'scrap' merchants and they send you a quote. Used them a few times.

One of those car-breaker websites where you enter the part you want and breakers get back to you? Something like this...

https://www.breakeryard.com/

...this is not a recommendation of that site BTW - just one that came up in Google! 🙂

Plastic or alloy? If ally can you weld it up?
