While my back was turned responding to STW, My SO's mum decided to 'clear away Christmas' at about 4pm today... Washing machine loaded, surfaces cleaned, turkey put away.. It hasn't been the same since ๐Ÿ˜•

Anyone else suffer from these overly-tidy types? Arrgggh!

My folks have pretty much tidied up, infact my dad started doing the washing up before the desserts.

I managed to curb my FIL's usual OCD tidying up by buying him a wee rc quadcopter for Christmas. Awesome bit of kit, he'll be entertained for hours!.

Yes I did to calm the granddaughter down ๐Ÿ˜†
Plus everyone was sick f the sight of food.
If I had my way the decorations and tree would be gone by the time I get up tomorrow.

The sooner you get it put away the sooner you can get out the next round of food & booze ๐Ÿ™‚

What decorations?
Big blackboard in mine that the girls did for our Xmas day last weekend.
Now freshly painted and sealed ready for the New Years scribblings.

Drives me nuts. Christmas presents get opened, and within 5 minutes the wrapping paper MUST be tidied up. That's not so bad in itself, even though it is the one day of the year you get to make that kind of mess. But by the time half an hour has passed the presents have been tidied up too! By mid-afternoon I can no longer remember what it is I got for Christmas, and it'll be 6 months later when I'm digging in the back of the cupboard when I'm reminded.

Nope. Just sat down with a glass of orange juice after clearing away & washing up last night's dinner dishes etc... (Gave me the chance to top up on leftover pigs in blankets before the in laws get up too)
Startling to discover whilst clearing the devastation that 9 of us got through 15 bottles of wine, plus 5 of prosecco..! The recycling bin is now pretty full.
