Looking for somewhere by the sea for me & the mrs. Aiming to drive down next year. We usually use Owners Direct but can't find much. (don't 'do' hotels normally)
Maybe Roses, Llafranc, Tossa de Mar, that kind of thing.
Any other good sites to check out?

Have you considered camping? I can recommend Cala Llevado between Loret and Tossa.

Was in Platja d'Aro a couple of years ago, nice beaches and not too trashy.
If you're sold on Spain, and willing to take a chance on the weather, the north coast is worth a look, too.

Llafranc, calella de palafrugell are beautiful, I loved it there. Awesome road cycling there too.
