[Closed] Anyone got a busted Giro helmet and could donate the straps to me?

The straps on my Giro are frayed and now too short. Has anyone got a damaged helmet lying around that they would be prepared to put to good use by donating the straps? Doesn't really matter which model, as I can adapt. Tried Madison and Giro USA. No dice.

Annoyingly I had an old cracked E2 on my workshop wall for ages but chucked it out....

Happy to pay for your trouble or donate to STW.

there's 2 helmets in my garage, they're not good ones but are like new as they were my lads and have hardly been used. The blue one is a oxford size s/m (54-58cm) and the silver one a little smaller s(52-56cm)
Although this picture doesn't show the straps I can say they are like new with the clip together type fastening and all the buckles are intact.
If you want pics of the straps I can do that. If they are any good to you you're welcome to them/one of them. I'd say the shell would have to be butchered to get straps off.

I've got a Xen that's knackered - you're welcome to the straps off that.

Email me your address - nd(dot)marshall@tiscali(dot)co(dot)uk and I'll send them over.

Not bothered about anything for postage - up to you if you want to chuck STW a couple of quid.

I'm away till Sunday and will be busy all day Sunday, so will need a reminder though.

Thanks for the offer Smarty, but no need to bust up a good helmet. DrP and STR - YGM!

Thanks all.

Aren't the frayed straps a sign that the helmet needs replacing?
