I am looking at some ideas to replace the hugly white piece of furniture in the following pictures. Sorry about the orientation, but flickr wont let me change it.

you're in France right? go to one of those furniture repositories armed with the measurements of the space and find a small commode!
I feel even worse now after looking at those.
Juan, if you pay for my travel, I'll come over and build you a nice little cupboard into that space. It looks like it may have been a cupboard in the past, or a doorway?
