Our postie has worn shorts throughout this weather we are currently experiencing.
Has your postie still got his or her legs out?
it's an old charter, they aren't shorts they are britches/breeches
Our postie is from eastern Europe and therefore is sensible and dresses for the weather. However I did see a chap riding into Pangbourne at the weekend in shorts.
i'll be wearing shorts for work later
You are taking the p1ss!!! I haven't SEEN MY POSTIE since last Monday!!
Mods: Please delete this thread or my head will explode. Thanks.
yep, our postie wears shorts all year round......
They must all be DHers
The postie just across the valley is still wearing shorts, and our postie has shown up every day despite the snow (wisely parking his van at the crest of the hill and walking this year, after driving half way down to park in last Feb's snow, only to the find the van at the bottom of the hill when he came back from delivering).
When I was a postie many years ago, I was told off for wearing shorts ๐
Is stopped while the temperature was sub zero, now it's 2-3C I'm back in shorts.
Who ^^ lives in Dorking ? My mate is a postie there and wears his shorts all year round.
The other morning I was out running when the temp was around -5
I was wearing 3 layers on the top, longs, hat & gloves & certainly wasn't too hot
A guy coming toward me - also running - had nothing but a cotton T shirt & shorts on ๐ฏ
He'd obviously remembered to MTFU
It's when he's wearing your pyjamas you need to be concerned...

Our was in shorts this morning at 350 metres altitude, whistling.
Cwl.
Walked into city the other day as buses were all off due to the ice/snow. In about 5 hours of walking I saw 6 men in total (not togeather), all of whom were wearing shorts and none of whom were exercising or postmen. Saw 2 more today and a small boy of about 7, again none of whom were doing sporty stuff to keep warm.
Is it only a male thing - is there some kind of kick in getting your bits frozen?

It's called "being hard".
I saw a scaffolder at work this morning wearing a tee shirt - the temperature must have been about minus one.
Mind you, scaffolders are only about 80% human.
I wore shorts for my snow ride on Saturday.
My mate is a postie down in Southampton (Shirley) and he's been wearing shorts cos he says carrying bags weighing 35Kg's full of everyone's Christmas cards, CRC and Amazon stuff is hard work and he gets rather hot hauling that stuff about. And he was riding his postie bike through the snow.
