[Closed] Anyone else's browser die upon opening 4OD...?

Recently when going to the Channel 4 On Demand site my Firefox window has simply closed - no reason, no warning, nothing, it just shuts down.

A little hunting reveals that this might be the result of a certain plug-in (which shall remain nameless): a plug-in I am loath to remove as it's so very, very useful.

Apparently, using this plug-in is "stealing" so should I just MTFU, disable it and sit through the drivel that comes before & during the programs on 4OD?

Or, anyone clever know a workaround...?
