The Panther is an old one, its not technically German, its British. It was made made war in the UK from spare parts, for testing. Ended up in Pounds Scrapyard in portsmouth.
Typos aside, where did you find this info? Genuinely interested.

Firstly in After the Battle, then it went off the radar for years.
If you google pounds scrapyard panther, there's a few threads to follow, you can still get back copies of AtB as well.
