What did you go for?

The orange terrine thing.
Mushrooms. With garlic.
Steak.
Profiteroles. The passion fruit ones, as still mourning the disappearance of Lilt.
The chocs.

And the enforced £10.00 bottle of prosecco.

The duck portions looked a bit mingy and the fish didn't appeal.

We were going to do the M&S one, but were in Morrisons at the weekend and their deal was only £15...so we downgraded to that one....

We've gone for

Starter - Cheese Souffle
Main - Beef Wellington & Dauphinoise Potatoes (probably a bit of broccoli too)
Dessert - Chocolate melt-in-the-middle sponge type things

And a large box of chocs, rather than booze because my Wife is alc-free at the moment. She has bought me a beer or two though!

Making me hungry just thinking about it!!

Just done the £20 Waitrose one

Balsamic and onion tartlet wotsits
Heston's steak pie
Parmentier potatoes
Cauliflower cheese
2013 Rioja

Not bad, given the shelf price of the wine was £10.49

I'm off M&S until they stop advertising in the daily mail. It's tough but someone's got to do it. #stopfundinghate

I've put a chili on.

The passion fruit ones, as still mourning the disappearance of Lilt.

So why didn't you go for pineapple and grapefruit?

Balsamic and onion tartlet wotsits - there's two, freeze the other
Heston's steak pie - ditto
Parmentier potatoes - cook, eat half, freeze other half
Cauliflower cheese - ditto
2013 Rioja - drink as much or as little as you like

Maybe it's your lack of ingenuity that's keeping you single 😉

Meh, i'm not buying expensive food so I can freeze it and make it taste like cheap food.

I'm off M&S until they stop advertising in the daily mail.

I'm also off M&S until they start stocking size 30 trousers.
Not only are they discriminating against single people, but skinny people too!

If you eat all the food meant for 2 people, you won't be so skinny anymore.

Maybe it's your lack of ingenuity that's keeping you single

And the negativity.
Don't forget that.

Hmm, an obstinate, penny-pinching streak of pi$$, how can you be without a lady? 🙂

At home, so I'm doing:

Goats cheese tart c/w tomato, spring onion, cucumber salad followed by mushroom filled tortellini c/w grated parmesan cream sauce.

Prosecco to start and then a decent wine.

I'll hide the various boxes as CBA making pastry.

Did the M&S dinner for two...
Welsh Rarebit
Steaks
Chips
Chocolate puddings
Rioja

It was surprisingly nice too. I didn't have high expectations but really enjoyed it. Wine was good too and at a tenner made it seem good value for money.

We had the M&S deal

Starter: Cheese Rarebit
Main: Coq au vin with squash/carrots and sugar snap peas (went all out)
Pud: Creme Brulee
Drink: pink alcoholic stuff

100% would recommend, completely blows last week's equally priced dominos out of the water..

M&s meal here,
Prawn & asparagus mouse,
Coq au vin,
Profiteroles (for tomorrow - too full of snacks)

Surprisingly tasty, considering it was pretty much the last ones left in the shop when my wife bought them
