[#9904297]

having our loft conversion and part of the party wall agreement with neighbour was to remove their chimney breast from loft....

Chimney stack removed both sides - my cost

My chimney breast removed - my cost

Neighbours side

Only had half height chimney breast  in loft as had bottom half removed a few years ago and is on a  shelf.

remove their half of chimney breast (that doesn't go to the floor )

Refelt and retile about 6/7 tiles

relead on party wall(we are stepped, their lower)

brick up party wall double brick

builder wants £800.00

London price

Does this sound right ?

before anyone says we should have asked before - we did and it was £600.00 now they have removed our side of breast it seems there is more work as they didnt think they would have to rebrick .

I'd have charged you more than that.

How many men and how long did it take.?

In that case, it seems a touch high.

Seems about right, I was quoted £1k to remove a chimney stack from loft and bedroom, downstairs already removed.  That was with me doing the decorating

...I think you may have misread my post it’s £800 to remove the half chimney breast in the picture and retile about 6 roof tiles, felt   rebrick party wall.

The stack has has been removed and is not part of the £800 quote.
