Just looking for a gîte/villa/château for next summer - finding ownersdirect a bit unwieldy and short of what we're looking for. To save me wading through the list of shite that Google will throw at me from a "self catering rentals France" search, can anyone suggest a good website they've used recently?

I've used homeaway for apartments
I think they have larger properties on there

homeaway own ownersirect.
A very good mate used to be a senior bod there. We first used it nearly 20yrs ago. Havent been back on the site since.
