Do I need to use a cable that has an hdmi on both ends, the monitor and the dvd player has hdmi sockets.
However i've bought a vga/hdmi cable, will and HDMI/HDMI cable enable me to watch my BSG dvd's

I'd suggest a HDMI > HDMI cable would be easiest all round. Tesco Value cable, fiver.

Cheers Cougar much appreciated, like everything else in life science fictions is relative to perspective, one mans cup of tasty beverage is another mans piss, innit!
