I have just had a your job is at risk meeting at work, and whilst I won't go into the details on here, I would like to discuss the way it all happened with someone who understands employment law.

So has anyone used anyone who was any good - any recommendations?

Remember how the law views 'the way it all happened' will depend on the size of the company you currently work for. For example, if it is a large multi-national they will be expected to do everything 'properly' but if you work for a small business they will be allowed more leeway and flexibility to do things differently (assuming they do still behave in a fair and reasonable way and broadly followed guidelines).

Please don't just use this as a way of getting at your current employers - I am sure they won't be doing it for the fun of it and will be feeling pretty crap about it themselves.

(Been there, done that 8 months ago as an employer).

If you're anywhere in the SW London/Surrey area I can recommend the solicitor I used when I was made redundant. I was still made redundant but that was inevitable and it was all about making sure I got what was due to me and that I wasn't stitched up by the compromise agreement.
