'course, there are lots for the iPhone that are less practical for the Pad, like Shazam, which needs a microphone, so if you've got a 3G enabled one that's a nice app to have.

simplenote is good for keeping notes across multiple devices. We mostly use it as a shopping list as it updates on my phone, partners phone and ipad so if either of us are getting any shopping we can take a quick look and pick stuff up.
