I looked into this a year ago for a transit, price can be anything from £400 for a quick rub down and blow over with the same colour to £4000 for a colour change with all panels off inside and out.

T cut helps for a while, but the bonnet and roof are completely nailed, It's been sign written in the past and it keeps showing back up.

Do you know if it's the origional paintwork ?If it is try to get it machine polished first with a good waterbased cutting compound, you'd be suprised how well old paintwork can be brought back to life and remember it must be waxed with a good quality wax to seal the polished paint otherwise it will just fade back again.

As a slight hijack... we have a 'classic' mini with the usual problems that needs sorting, including some panels. I am thinking I'll do the little jobs, take all the parts off, take the windows out etc and someone can stick some new panels on it and respray... anyone in West London area?
