A real shame how it all ended. Adamson seemed like a good bloke.

I just play the theme tune from Z cars at different speeds to emulate B.C's back catalogue..

A school mates uncle was one of their roadies. He got us tickets to a gig.

In Hawaii.

We were 17 at the time and broke. Kept the ticket for years though!

For those who haven't seen it, Big Country did the soundtrack for the film Restless Natives. Like Gregory's Girl, only really excellent.

I'm a bit of a BC fan, my music teacher used to be in the early Skids and as a result I had the absolute magic moment of playing a gig (6 songs) with the rest of the band for a school fundraiser. A-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y awesome they were too. I've got Final Fling on DVD and its still just great stuff.

I feel the urge to put on a thick checked-shirt and sit round a big campfire.

Me sort of, but my daughter is the big fan

Every album including the Rarieties ones including the Restless Native soundtrack

Only weird bit is why Stuart Adamson disliked their music being likened to Bagpipes when they deliberately went for that sound

Really? I always thought of them fondly as utter shite.

Agree with Coogan, thought they were quite amusing with their bagpipey guitar sound (although they denied this was intentional IIRC ๐Ÿ˜†
Liked the Skids though. (Very past tense)
