[Closed] another knee pain enquiry - fairly specific

ok.. so I've had general knee pain since I twisted my knee almost two years ago this week..

GP, Physio and eventually a knee specialist armed with an MRI scan all drew a blank..
The pain comes on after vigorous exercise and will migrate from the general knee area resulting in pain from hip to ankle..

The best idea was to reduce exercise and take ibuprofen.. not ideal

So that's what I've done.. But having started to increase the amount that I exercise the general pain has returned but I have noticed something that wasn't picked up on before

If I sit on the ground with legs together straight out in front of me, tense my legs and tense my knees down towards the floor I experience intense dull pain from the 'inside side' of the knee joint from either the miniscus or the top of the tibia or fibula..
There is a good 5mm of 'give' before this occurs, a movement that is not present in the good knee..

GP appointment is already booked for a re-referral but I was just wondering if anyone has experienced similar, as after two years I'm impatient for answers as it's really starting to get me down..
