I read somewhere that he did it in order to impress a potential lady suitor that was watching the game.

He must be a right twit to woo her like that.

What's him being a footballer got to do with it really? Other than it happened during a match. If you read the article, many of the other players had a go at him, so I'd reckon animal cruelty might well not be a trait of footballers.

No-one I know who plays footy is cruel to animals. So, if you're trying to make a point about footballers, then you've failed, really.

More cyclists than footballers kick dogs, probbly.

Which makes you a hypocrite and, by association, a murderer.

Sorry, but that's your logic applied to yourself.

What a prick , I spose we cant band the usual 'Overpayed Footballer' quote out as In Panama they are probably on buttons. Still I'd imagine they are still I'dolised In there own way . In a week where Rooney elbowed some guy and Cole shot some poor wee work experience dude to be 'One of the boys' It's just dragging the game further down .

Anyhoo Sharki hope yer well and still enjoying yer travels I met you briefly at Glentress with Coast kid back In the summer.

It's just dragging the game further down .

No it's not. It's just one idiot doing something stupid and thoughtless.

In fact, surely the opposite is true; most other players reacted against him, as did the fayns, and he's bin condemned by the footballing community there.

So, how about, like, y'know, just for balance for all you footy haterz (too crap at school so you got picked last then bullied by the other kids);

'Violence and cruelty against animals not condoned or tolerated in Football'.

Which, if you step away from yer anti-footy bigotry for a second, might be closer to the truth.

Or is that a bit too much for youse to take on board?

Elfin ,If your post Is intended for me Im confused . Even my name 'Stanfree' Is linked to my allegiance to my beloved Aberdeen FC. I'd never expect anyone to suss that out that we must be the least known Euro champions ever beating the mighty Real Madrid.

After that my post was not slagging football fans far from It. ?

If you look at my forum activity It's more off topic as I dont know one end of a Fox fork from the other but love moutain biking And the banter that goes with It . So who Is the ****.?

I was more seriously concerned about the human mowing down 20+ humans to notice the mistreated owl in some other part of the infosphere. But you are right Sharki, people need to adjust their nature to be more caring and thoughtful to all the living things. It's not about football.

'Violence and cruelty against animals not condoned or tolerated in Football'.

But your wife, girlfriend, other players, pretty young shop assistants up for a roasting or a work experience guy are all fair game.

Yes, that's usually because the dog is snarling and barking and generally looking threatening.

Call me an old codger but that owl really didn't look like it was threatening anybody.

I created the best pun in the world ever last night and all you can do is bicker.

I'm flouncing off if that's the thanks I'll get.
