That the management finally pulled their fingers out of their collective backsides and the office shut down.
Unable to self-terminate I Inserted a USB drive into an available slot and booted my PC for the last time and loaded the Linux distro, opened the terminal and typed "sudo shred -vx /dev/sda" and so began the long silent process of euthanasia.
The management couldn't manage to actually get our P45s and termination letters to us so no joining May's Millions just yet. They've promised us a piss up in a brewery but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
Five years, almost to the day, that I was there. Time I think for something different.
Sorry to hear you lost your job.
I suppose the good news is that we actually have record employment at the moment and at least the recruitment people I know are advertising for candidates again and not just employers so you might not be out of work long.
So what kind of porn were you trying to hide on your endpoint?

good luck with what you choose. but you could just not bother and ride more mate.
TBH I'm not that upset. I'm reasonably sorted financially, unfortunately not well enough to retire, but there's no immediate pressure.
