I have ordered two items from Amazon with my Christmas vouchers. One of the items is sold by Amazon which is in stock and the other is sold through Amazon by another retailer. Both are showing an estimated delivery time of the end of January.

Is this normal.?

no - amazon themselves are shit-hot IME and you should have it within "days" (NB bank holidays etc, and I've only ever bought smallish things)

did you pay by some weird means that has to clear somehow before they get their cash? (edit: I've read the vouchers bit now - do they only come into validity at a later date or something ?)

Well that's answered that question, just got an email saying my Amazon stuff has been shipped. They were only a month out on their estimate. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
