All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
First things first. I love bikes, I love riding them, thinking about them fiddling with them, all that shit. BUT. For me, bikes aren't challenging, bikes is what I do to switch off, and bikes don't exercise your brain. I try to have stuff that isn't bikes to both keep me intellectually curious, and get away from the pull of bikes. As a group of friends we're currently reading the Booker short list and sharing and talking about them has been huge fun. Wife and I last week went down the the RA to see the William Kentridge exhibition, and just be Touristica in London for the weekend and catch up with some friends. It was ace.
I could've complained that I missed riding that weekend and the weather was pretty nice, but this week will be just as fun, the bike is still there. and I opened my head to some pretty cool art.
