Dunno if you've read Jon Ronson's book 'Them' from 2001 (worth a read if not) but he knocks about with Alex Jones quite early in his 'career'. Jones is portrayed as a nice enough guy, a bit eccentric, a bit madcap, recording his internet radio show from his kid's bedroom and going on these wild flights of fancy. But - he doesn't come across as a complete **** like he does now. Just a bit of a plonker. Presumably the partner mentioned in the book then, is his angry ex-wife now...

Fair comment. So maybe she just married a plonker rather than a ****. It's always good to be informed, but I don't know if I have the stomach for reading a book about Jones.
It's a good yarn! It's not all about Jones, it's more about conspiracy theories / theorists generally. It's dated now as it was pretty much pre-internet, and conspiracies have gone into overdrive since, but it's very funny.

If if the court does bankrupt him, there are plenty of very right wing billionaires in the US who will re-finance him as he serves their interests. Pretty sure the FSB will put some money his way as sowing dissension is one of their main objectives.

I think I'm with you. They had the opportunity to say it was privileged and didn't.
However I am enjoying watching him getting a kicking in court. It's like the Vardy trial, some folks think that throwing a phone over a boat and saying it is an accident makes it true when obviously it's not. Making it stick is another matter though.
He does seem to make money at an incredible rate though so he might be trading off losing the case against reducing by how much and adding a whole bunch of new supporters to his cause.
This is my new Wagatha trial and I love it.
