Nah - I think it's just cleaning it all up so it's back to what you first registered as.

Mine didn't change back until I fiddled around in my profile, then my alias disappeared and I'm now back to my original username. It's down to a few people changing their username to appear to be other STW forum users. That trick hadn't occured to me, but a few people abused the option.
