Hello everyone,
my girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Sauerland in Germany in August. We would like to camp there and find a place a bit away from busy roads/towns to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We will bring our mountainbikes, though my girlfriend is not an experienced rider so it would be nice if there is access to a range/types of trails. If possible it would be nice to have a little lake or river to swim in nearby.
Do any of you have any advice for us? e.g. areas, campsites, trails?
It is a long time since I was there, but the "trails" were all very well maintained and almost large and smooth enough that you could drive a car on them. This was around Winterberg.
Lovely scenic area, mind.
