Quayside for a more civilised experience.

Food + Hooters type establishment + The Burrrrt (if it's still there) would be a general plan I imagine. As above, Bigg Market for a bit of rowdiness and a bit of a laugh.

Quayside has died on its arse recently. All new bars down Collingwood Street, right next to central station.
Other than that, get a taxi to the Ouseburn area. Loads of good pubs, serving decent food too. You could "Go Ape" over at Matfen/Stamfordham way during the day if you were bereft of something to do!

Perhaps I'm just lacking some important life experience but some of the young ladies I've seen in Newcastle supermarkets, not night clubs, supermarkets, will completely overshadow even the most outrageous fancy dress you could think of. You could go out dressed up as George Bush shagging ainsley harriot up the bum and these girls shopping clothes would make you look like a vicar at a state funeral.

Wear what you like, go where you want I think.

The area around Central Station is pretty lively these days, although one or two places aren't too keen on having stag parties in these days, (Revolution in particular). Centurion (in the station) is a good place to start, (especially as you can fall off the train, straight into the bar).

If you want really good food, without ridiculous prices, try Blackfriars. Some of the best contemporary british cooking you'll find in the area. The Living Room is also worth a try, as is Red Mezze near St James'. Stowell Street is the place to go if you like good chinese food in large quantities.

Make the stag wear a Sunderland top then go in the Adelphi for a pint.

my only advice for a night out in newcastle would be to roll them in flour and look for the wet spot

I would agree with the Central Station area, some really good bars, Perdu, The Apartment, Revolution good cheap Weatherspoon's round there too.

There's a pub at the top of the Bigg Market that has the best strippers I've ever seen. Phenomenal. They have them on whenever Newcastle Utd are playing at home.

Seem to remember a strip club. Revolution still send me texts for drinks offers! Some bars where the girls were all serving in bikini's and leather chaps and some surf themed club opposite.

My stag was in December. It was proper cold (for a southerner like me) and the girls were hardly wearing a thing. It's all true what they say!

Wouldnt bother with the bigg market, unless of course you like fighting. The quayside, the gate and or central station are your best bet.Jesmond which is about a mile outside of newcastle, is also very good. Cant go wrong if yor going out on the drink, lots to choose from. Only prob you might have is your dressed up mate, some will let him in some not.

If you are on for a rowdy, interesting night, the bigg market is hard to top. Jumpin jacks or somethin had a dentists chair for teh stag, and a mechanical bull, at least i think it was rather than one of the locals. I think we ended up in tiger tiger which was a very short stagger away from previous establishment.

On a normal night out, my idea of hell. On a stag, dressed as elvis and snarling unh-huh, thannyouvermuch at people, top notch.

usual stag do seems to comprise starting out in jesmond, osbournes/spy etc (happy hour 5-7ish worth a punt) then taxi to town, central station area then down collingwood street (rev's, baby lynch, madame zoo(sp?), perdu etc etc), pop by the stripper at fyeo and head to the gate for whatever you can get 😉

btw the quayside is really dying at the mo - collingwood street definately seems to be the busiest place at the moment
