HI! riding the Abergavenny MTB Marathon Series this saturday, anyone else?

Wondering what the trails are like at the moment so I can decide what tyres to use? Muddy swamp or fairly dry?

Cheers!

I've entered this event with a few mates.
I stupidly entered the big one. ๐Ÿ˜ณ
Anybody got any info about the route - maps or gpx's?
I havent seen or received anything.
I'm using reasonable aggressive tyres - Hans Dampf/Nobby Nic

Think I'll do it too.

Imagine it will be typical welsh hillside biking, i.e. pretty muddy in places with the rain that is forecast for Friday night.

Forecast looks real bad for the entire day!!!
Been raining most of the day down here too.
Leave the dry tyres at home!!
I've just installed front and rear mudguards and will be wearing full waterproofs.
Good luck chaps!!

Well the weather was great in the end! Rained early am, but was dry and quite sunny for most the ride.

There was a lot of climbing, mainly fire roads which I found a bit dull. Suppose you have to go up somehow if you go down!

The trails we not to bad though. The occasional massive puddle and muddy patches, but mainly pretty firm. I stuck to the Rocket Rons and was fine.
