'Twas a day off today and I happened to have the use of a car, so around 3ish (after I'd done all my 'chores') I decided to lob the bike in the back and drive from Islington to Dorking for a bit of a pootle in the hills to test my new brakes out. Journey usually takes around an hour or so, so I thought I'd have a good few hours to ride around before heading home... or so I thought...
Bloody traffic, my god how do people deal with it every frickin day? It took me 2.5hrs to drive 45km... one ****ing traffic jam after another, it was amazingly horrendous on the roads of North London this afternoon... 2.5hrs to do 45km... bloody hell 👿
Ride was good once I got there though, glad I took my lights (wasn't planning on riding into the dark!)
well you certainly could have cycled there quicker, shame on you 😉
You need to move out of London!!
Try Epping Forest next time. SHould be there in less than half that time if you leave outside rush hour.
