Ace! My kids just watched that and are now running round the house making skidding and engine noises 🙂

I loved it. My 8 year old nephew pronounced it boring and walked out!

Love the SWB S1 at the end!

I took my girlfriend up to watch the Welsh section of the then Lombard RAC rally one year, a rather disappointing experience. Bloody cold at the 4am we had to get there for to get a decent spectator point, and the cars came past so bloody quick and at such large intervals that we didn't get to see much. All my photos were crap too! Still, wouldn't have missed it for the world.

If you love cars being driven on the edge of the envelope, how about the older Group 4 (although I don't think this car is using a Cosworth engine as the RS1800s did):

Don't know about just chaps, I'm loving it too.
Have to confess my second ever car was a Renault gordini turbo (huge insurance).

Same here - even had a Prodrive'd Impreza a couple of years ago...

It was quite good fun 🙂

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Mr Per Eklund.

Saw him at Croft Race Circuit back in about 1988...he was almost horizontal, steering with one hand. So laid back it hurt.

Thanks exilegeordie, that brought back some memories. Known Will for years in fact that Pug was part sponsored by my firm. I still think of this as one of his finest moments...

Nobby, you're welcome. And thanks for the reminder of Martin Shanche as well. What a driver he was. That era was probably the pinnacle of motorsport for me.

I was lucky enough to be dragged all over the country to watch rallying as a kid. Even went to the Manx rally one year!! My overriding memory was the noise!!!!!! And I'll never forget the yr when the 6r4 came out with Tony Pond driving, what an abomination of a body shell!!!
