No bikes at all.
But I went to a party where the cake had 180 candles.
Both my parents have just turned 90.
My brothers, their wives, exes and all our kids were there, it was life-affirming.

PS, thanks to the Pot & Glass in Egglescliffe for loooking after us so well.

Started by waking up in THE most 1970's hotel ever, then onto a small island on the west coast for a very gentle walk and explore, then a drive back to pick up three knackered boys, who also had been away for the weekend.

Got up about 3, had some instant, farted about on computer, ate leftovers for lunch, shredded a load of paper, farted about some more, got some dinner and studying done then went to bed. Got woke up by press coffee and wife, went to work, got worried by noise coming from car.

I lose.

My weekend was the culmination of a drunk Christmas conversation with a local farmer about thinning out one of his woods. I arrived at his place early Saturday, was offered the pick of his Stihl chainsaws, told that we would need to use his quadbikes to get about and ended up with 2 tons of seasoned Ash for my efforts, thus ticking all my 'Man Day' boxes.
Now back in front of my computer aching all over like a newbie.

Right I had to get up in the morning,at ten-o-clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home our dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing "Halleluhah". But you try and tell the people on STW forum that...and thet wont believe ya' ๐Ÿ™‚

I took three of my kids skating at the local rink, then went home, built a fire, and proceeded to sit in front of it for a while watching an ice hockey game.

Not really STW at all, really, unless STW was based in British Columbia or Ontario.

In the hour before the rain came I topped off my Holz Hausen.
