The downside is that it's big, ugly and massivly overspecced for most purposes.

Was going for that pretty sure once saw a drawing that showed the rear thruster rotation being  controlled by a standard bicycle chain

True, the nozzles are actuated via a chain drive. I suspect it is a bit more than just a standard bicycle chain though....

Sorry Kayak23 - That was invented by 3 american guys apparently. One of them comes on here every now and then to remind us all how lucky we are.
