Well I think if you follow your last advice to me, which I forgot to thank you for, I hadn't seen it, I actually do them more good than harm resolving issues, footballers aside, that and the fact we're their biggest distributor outside the states
That was, sort of, my point 🙂

I wonder when we can expect to see Surf Sales sponsoring a football team?

This is brilliant. I must admit, I also don't like football and agree that corporate 'statements' along the lines of statues of living people are bloody crass and more than a little ridiculous.

As a child, I played with guns, hammers and a brick on a string (my favourite). Also, I do wear lycra, but only under manly outerwear.

As you were.

I wonder if there's a footy forum where someone has posted about cycling, clearly forgetting/ignoring that people tend to like more than one sport and has been surprised by their response to being insulted.

While we're here, can we get a list if sports you approve us paying money to watch? Or should we just not support local sport at all.

Or should we just not support local sport at all.

Or local independent sport shops either, apparently they think we are "all tossers" and don't want, or need, our business.

I am like a moth to a flame with this place..

I couldn't help myself but google This Where they seem too busy,'Let's all laughing at <insert appropriate loser club>, the Fittest Wag or managing a gang bang in a brothel or some Cove's inability so to do, I doubt very much if bikes and or bike riding is very high on their agenda.

Of course not.

You must be right, no football fans at all like cycling.

None at all.

the statue is outside a 67,000 seat stadium set up for people who do appear to care about such things and like thier statue. Get over it.

This isn't the first time igrf has turned up on a thread, trolled a bit, had a massive hissy fit and said that he doesn't want to sell anything to someone who isn't super radical. I have a road bike (well, more than one), a singlespeed but also ride (and buy) the sort of bikes you sell but I guess you'd not want my money as I have some bib shorts in the cupboard.

Couldn't care less about football but, yet again, you've come across as a dick.

Ooo I've never really got to speak to a real live single speeder, so tell me what happened to you? Do you get like voices in your head telling you gears are bad? Wtf are 'bib' shorts do the voices tell you to wear them as well or is it some masonic like uniform you single speeders wear to recognise each other?

No, I just used it to ride to work on when I lived in London. 20 year old frame, cheap parts, less worry about theft and breakage. So that's my explanations out of the way, what's yours for acting like a 5 year old?

There really is nothing quite like football, for getting the middle classes frothing at the mouth because a bunch of lower class lads earn more money than they'll ever see in their lifetime

It seems igrf has a touch of the TJ's about him, although nowhere near as nice, and just cannot pull back from the inevitable.

...or as Albert Einstein said:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

C'mon igrf. You may have started as making a point/having a bit of a laugh....fair enough...but you are now just appearing rude. Is there any need?

Plenty of things to have a laugh at football about and a cry (West Ham hissing chants this weekend - well done guys! 😕 ) etc without resorting to abuse. Leave that to those on the terraces (Nice to meet you Mr Benitez, welcome!). Ooops!

I was going to buy some WH vs L'pool tickets for my son as a present until I read the reports of the fans behaviour this weekend. In the same way that some may not want to support igrf's venture after this thread, why would I want to give money to WU when the fans behave in that way?

Those West ham wallies... They can't even beat Spurs when we are rubbish

And the thing is.... in 12 odd years of being in the Park Lane Tottenham, pretty close to the away fans, I'd never heard, or even heard of, hissing before that lawyer chap mentioned it the other week ??

Well it is raining and not much else to do, but I now realise there are so many more important subjects to debate here so will step away from the keyboard and back off now...

Shame though, that an allegedly intelligent forum can't tolerate the views of another without becoming nasty though isn't it? And you wonder why everyone thinks you're all tossers (Which kind of includes me since I'm now posting here).

I think the overall reaction of the forum is entirely in line with your post fella.

You started it by giving it the big un & being abusive so what exactly did you expect in return?

Theres a bridge somewhere missing you..

I think it only fair to point out that in his professional capacity the OP comes good.

I loved football to age 15/16. Now it bores me.

Now I love history, archaeology, theoretical physics and riding a mtb as best I can.

I've tried to talk to friends and relatives about these things that interest me and either I see their eyes glaze over or I'm accused of being a conspiracy theorist. So you know what I talked about when I went to my dads house yesterday, yep football.

If you can't surround yourself with other people of similar interest then you stick to safe ground*. Football, the weather, other people. It's a human condition.

*or become a recluse

So the OP doesn't want our business and when someone is unfortunate enough to buy one of his products that he didn't want to sell to us riff raff its a piece of sh1t that the paint peals off.

So much for him selling quality products to quality people?

Nope they replaced the frame I still believe the paint peeled therefore not good quality paint job which is what I suggested. I am pleased that the people involved were great to deal with and fudge got the result he is entitled to as a consumer.
