There are lots of sports and activities I don't "do" but I tend not to pass judgement on them. It's like on here - I just ride a bike, but most of the posters seem to know the names of, and can recognise, many professional cyclists. I just assume they are a bit more passionate/knowledgeable than I am. I don't think that makes me somehow intellectually superior to them.

Football is a noble and unifying sport. Did the opposing forces play rugby on christmas day in 1914? No - it was football they played.

Football and particularly the unifying and universal nature of the game means things to a lot of people. Calling it chav ball in really quite a sad indictment of yourself.

First he's still alive, so it's toady brown nosing of the highest order, being chavs for the most part 'they' wouldn't clock the normal precedent of at least waiting for the subject to pass this mortal coil. I can't wait for them to start losing and the statue gets defaced by other moronic 'fans'.
