Say you had an exam you had to pass came in two parts, one worth 40% of the total mark and one worth 60% of the total. You know the total mark and you know one of the individual marks - how do you figure out the other mark?

You'd need to know which paper the known mark was for.

I'm struggling to understand what it meant to say;

A simple maths question, for some.

A simple, for some, maths question.

Maybe just some additional punctuation would help?

Warton - no 2nd year. Means that I have the skill and knowledge base to take into the next two years of practical work.
